The first Business Breakfast in Guangzhou on December 12, 2011 and impressions about it!
On December 12, 2011, a lot of events happened both in Russia and in the world as a whole.
On December 12, Russia celebrated Constitution Day, a five thousandth rally of the “EP” was held in Moscow in support of the Duma elections and Putin’s Russia, in response to the opposition 80 thousandth rally, which took place on December 10 on Bolotnaya Square. It was Monday, and there was a lot more going on in the world.
But perhaps the most notable and wonderful event for me was here in Guangzhou. The first “Business Breakfast” was held in Guangzhou. I must say that this is a really significant event. So far, there has not been a gathering of business people in Guangzhou in such a format. Perhaps many people are familiar with the “Business Breakfasts” of the Shanghai Russian Club. But this is in Shanghai, and here, in Guangzhou, no one has organized such an event so far. For organizing the first “Business Breakfast” in Guangzhou, we should thank the Russian company MarkPrior, the head of the Irkutsk branch Sharoiko Oksana and the head of the Guangzhou office Radnaeva Surana.
In my humble opinion, a Business Breakfast event is the most effective form for meeting and getting to know new companies with new business people, meeting experienced participants in foreign economic activity, it is a convenient form for discussing all different issues.
Business people and heads of companies located in Guangzhou, as well as a representative of the Russian consulate and the chairman of the Guangzhou Russian Club were invited to the “Business Breakfast” organized by MarkPrior. For the first “Business Breakfast”, MarkPrior took the topic “Investments in Hainan Island”, especially for this, Russian entrepreneur Nikolai Borozdenkov, director of WIB PROPERTY, LLC real estate, was invited.Sanya, Hainan Island.
Breakfast was held in the restaurant “Ukraine”. There were wonderful pancakes and all kinds of sweets, tea, coffee juice, to choose from.
At the beginning of the event, the head of the Guangzhou office of MarkPrior, Radnaeva Surana, made a presentation of the company. The MarkPrior Group of Companies has been operating in the market of audit and consulting services for more than 14 years. Among her most striking projects in terms of VAT refund, “Business VAT Free China” provides an opportunity for VAT refunds for Russian companies exporting goods from China. This is very interesting and relevant in light of the fact that many exporting companies face the problem of optimizing costs for the purchase or production of goods in China.
After a short break, we started the main topic “Investments in Hainan Island” and the organizers did not lose here, the topic of investments as such is always interesting, it is important to discuss investments at any time in the yard of a crisis or economic recovery. Nikolai Borozdenkov is a wonderful man and a successful businessman, inSanya, his company has been working and providing its services in the real estate market for more than three years. He spoke wonderfully about Hainan Island and the prospects for the island’s development in the future as a tourist center in Southern China.
Russian russians, of course, Hainan has long been a “Russian” island, the flow of Russian tourists is only increasing every year, and of course it is much easier and more convenient for them (Russian tourists) to address the issue of purchasing real estate.Sanya, to a company where they will be understood and helped, i.e. to a Russian company. I am sure all this is interesting for people who do not encounter Chinese people on a daily basis and are unfamiliar with the intricacies of the Chinese mentality and business manner. In fact, forty minutes is not enough to fully reveal the vast and interesting topic of investment. Nikolai managed to identify only the key points, they listened to him with interest, asked questions that interested them, but there was not enough time left. The “business breakfast” was designed for two hours, and the people were all busy and it was Monday.
In conclusion, Anna Kosyreva, an employee of the Russian Consulate General in Guangzhou, spoke about the New Year’s Eve events in Guangzhou. Actually, this was the end of the first “Business Breakfast” in Guangzhou, organized and conducted by the Russian company MarkPrior.
I hope these are not the last events of this format. The first “stone” has been laid in a good tradition. Oksana Sharoiko promised to continue organizing, if possible monthly, events of this format – “Business Breakfast”.
Summing up, we can say that the first event in Guangzhou in the format of a “Business Breakfast” was successful, thanks to the initiative of a very interesting company “MarkPrior”, with the support of the “Russian Club of Guangzhou”, as well as thanks to all participants of the business meeting.
